You deserve care that
was built for you.
Specialized care for the full complexity of women's mental health — grounded in clinical expertise, genuine attunement, and deep respect for everything you are carrying.
Welcome
A practice built around women — because women deserve nothing less
Mai Wellness is a virtual private practice serving women in Maryland and Virginia, specializing in the experiences that shape women's lives and mental health across the lifespan. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, a postpartum transition, perimenopause, or the specific challenges of being a neurodivergent woman in a world that wasn't designed for you — this practice was built with you in mind.
Treatment here is not one-size-fits-all. It is grounded in evidence-based modalities and shaped by genuine clinical expertise — but more than that, it is shaped by a deep and abiding belief that women's experiences deserve to be taken seriously, treated with nuance, and met with real attunement.
Why Mai Wellness exists
From the clinician behind the practice
I created Mai Wellness because I kept seeing the same thing: women who were carrying enormous weight — through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, trauma, ADHD, midlife transitions — and finding that the support available to them didn't come close to meeting what they actually needed. I know this not only as a clinician, but as a woman who has navigated some of these spaces myself and felt those gaps firsthand.
My work is grounded in a whole-person approach. That means I don't treat symptoms in isolation or fit you into a single framework and hope it works. Instead, I draw from multiple evidence-based modalities — including EMDR, CBT, somatic approaches, and perinatal-specialized care — to build a therapeutic experience that is tailored specifically to you, your history, your body, and your life.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a gold-standard treatment for trauma, and specialize in perinatal and postpartum mental health, perimenopause and midlife transitions, ADHD, and trauma across the lifespan. My approach is warm, non-judgmental, and grounded in unconditional positive regard — which is a clinical way of saying that whatever you bring into this space, you will not be shamed for it, minimized, or rushed.
At Mai Wellness, the goal is never just symptom management. It's helping you understand yourself more fully, reconnect with your own needs, and build a life that actually fits who you are — not just who everyone else needs you to be.

What we work on together
Every area of focus at Mai Wellness is approached through a women-centered lens — with an understanding of how biology, culture, relationships, and lived experience intersect to shape mental health in ways that are specific to women's lives.
The approach
What makes this practice different
There is a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from spending years in therapy — or in doctors' offices, or in conversations with people who love you — and still feeling like something is being missed. Like the real thing, the actual shape of your experience, keeps not quite landing.
Mai Wellness was built for that woman. Treatment here integrates multiple evidence-based modalities — EMDR, trauma-informed care, somatic approaches, CBT, parts work, DBT-informed skills — but the foundation is always the same: a genuine understanding of how women experience distress, what gets in the way of their healing, and what it actually takes to help them move through it.
You will not be minimized here. You will not be handed a breathing exercise and sent on your way. You will be met — with clinical expertise and real human attunement — exactly where you are.
